Decemeber 2019 GSSB Program
This year's holiday program will be "Christmas, A Season of Giving." Attendees are asked to bring finger foods to share, and items to donate to the Veteran's Transitional Housing facility located near the Melbourne Library. The program will include stories and maybe even a Christmas carol.  Our theme of giving this year is meant to assist those who operate and reside at the transition center so don't forget those donations.
The Veterans Transitional Facility is located on Fee Avenue near the library. We will take your donations to the facility following the program, so you can come directly to the Melbourne Public Library for the program and bring your donations with you. We are focusing our assistance on their operational needs and adult residents.  Suggestions for donations include gift cards to Wal-Mart or Target for residents, and the facility can use paper goods such as paper towels and toilet paper. You can also bring non-perishable foods such as dry goods and canned food for their pantry so they can continue to assist needy veterans and veteran families. GSSB Board Members will transport all items to the Veterans Transitional Facility afterward. This is a great opportunity to help others this holiday "Season of Giving." So come join us at the Melbourne Public Library on December 11th for a fun holiday program.

Second Annual GSSB Yearbook

The GSSB is publishing its second "Yearbook: A Look Back" as an annual publication which presents information and activities of the society during the past calendar year. It was created to provide a look back for members at the past year and includes summary information on programs, events, activities, society news, publications and other information related to the previous year of operations. The yearbook is intended to be an archive of the year and document efforts of the society for its members.
It is hoped we will be able to publish it at the end of each year so members will have access to a quick reference or "Look Back" at things of interest from the past year.  Once logged in, members can find this and last year's publication by clicking the "GSSB Archives" menu item and then clicking the "Annual Yearbook" tab.  Or if you are already logged in, click this link.
